About Canada
Canada is probably best known for its breathtaking landscapes and wide open spaces. And that's fair, because it's true. Nevertheless, the country has much more to offer.
Canada extends over ten million square kilometers of land, has six time zones and a 8,890 kilometer long border with the USA, which is the only border at all. There are two national languages and up to ten other official languages. Although the country is isolated, it is cosmopolitan and uniquely diverse.
The capital is Ottawa. However, the most populous city is Toronto.
After Russia, Canada is the second largest state worldwide, but with just 38 million inhabitants it has a population density of only 3.6 people per square kilometer.
